                                        Variation of condition 4 of planning permission S/2009/0962/FUL

                                        to allow the premises to open at midday.

 

Cllr Yates raised concerns with respect to the impact on parking and traffic movement plus the increased potential for anti-social behaviour in the area.  At the time SNC gave planning approval the opening times were restricted to take into account the concerns of residents.  Cllr Linney agreed saying parking is particularly difficult since the new Medical Centre opened.  He would not be in favour of extending the opening times on weekdays. 

 

Proposal

Cllr Linney proposed the committee objects to the extended opening times from Monday to Friday; seconded by Cllr Yates;

3 votes in favour; 4 votes against – proposal not carried.

 

Proposal

Cllr Wardle proposed that the committee makes no observations to the application for the variation of opening hours; seconded by Cllr Allen;

2 votes in favour; 5 votes against – proposal not carried.

 

Proposal

Cllr Stanger proposed that the committee objects to the application for the variation of opening hours; seconded by Cllr Yates;

4 votes in favour; 3 against – proposal carried.

 

S/2010/0102/FUL           Footpath to north-western side of Silverstone Brook between Clare

                                        Crescent and Water lane Towcester (formerly land at Radstone Site

                                        and former Council Depot)

                                        To vary conditions 11 & 12 on application S/2005/0726/P ‘maintenance

                                        and landscaping works’ to widen the footpath to provide a cycleway.

 

Proposal

Cllr Linney proposed that the committee supports the application to improve the cycleway provision in Towcester; seconded by Cllr Lofts; all in favour.

The land availability assessment had been referred from the last RP meeting.  Committee members were asked to forward comments regarding the sites including for potential development for the Clerk to respond by the closing date of 11th February.
