No members of the public were present at the meeting.
4a) Election of Chair
Cllr Allen proposed that Cllr Martin Johns be elected Chair of the Resources/Planning Committee for the ensuing year; seconded by Cllr Stanger; all in favour.
Cllr Johns took the Chair for the meeting.
4b) Election of Vice-Chair
Proposal
Cllr Yates proposed that Cllr Alan Maycock be elected Vice-Chair of the Resources/Planning Committee for the ensuing year; seconded by Cllr Stanger, 7 votes in favour, 1 abstention.
Proposal
Cllr Wardle proposed that Cllr David Linney be elected Vice-Chair of the Resources/Planning Committee for the ensuing year. The proposal was not seconded.

The application was discussed at length.
Proposal
Cllr Hart proposed that the application be objected on the grounds of over intensification of the site;
seconded by Cllr Wardle, 4 votes in favour, 4 votes against.
Cllr Johns used his casting vote to support the proposal.

Application Reference: 09/0077/FULWNS
Proposal: Demolition of existing building (use for sale of agricultural supplies) and
construction of food store (use class A1) and two commercial units
Location: CWG Site, Old Greens Norton Road, Towcester
Correspondence from the W. N. D. C. confirms that the planning application will be considered at the Towcester UDA Planning Committee at S. N. C. Civic Offices at 6pm on the 19th May. The Clerk confirmed that the meeting is open to members of the public but anyone wishing to address the committee must notify her by 12 noon tomorrow. The TC original objections to the application will be carried forward.

Correspondence from The Planning Inspectorate confirms its decision on the above appeal as follows:-
I dismiss the appeal insofar as it relates to the two storey rear extension. I allow the appeal insofar as it relates to the new pitched roof over the existing garage and I grant planning permission for a new pitched roof over the existing garage in accordance with the terms of the application S/2009/1209/FUL.
