TOWCESTER PRODUCE SHOW

Following the successful re-launch of the Towcester Produce Show, this event will be held

once again this year on Bank Holiday Monday, 25th August, in the Town Hall, Towcester.

There will be classes for vegetables, fruit and flowers as well as home produce, handicrafts

and for children's entries. The challenge trophies will be presented to prize winners including

two new trophies for this year: the WI Trophy for home produce and the Judge's Cup for

the best exhibit in the vegetable, fruit and flower classes.

Our Chairman, Peter Cowan, has this year set a challenge to the young people of Towcester.

He has grown sunflower seedlings and all schools have been offered the chance of one of

these for any child. The challenge is to pot grow it, with the tallest on the 25th August

receiving a prize.

£2 enables entry to any or all classes for an entire family. Staging of exhibits will commence

at 9am on the day and must be completed by 11am . Judging will then take place and the show

will be open to the public from 2pm until 5pm. Schedules and entry forms are available from the

Town Clerk at the Town Hall.
